Highland Park Water Main Replacement Project

Construction work for the

Highland Park Water Main Replacement is planned to begin on Monday, April 7th. You may have already seen equipment and material moving into the area for mobilization. Below is a brief explanation of how the construction work will occur throughout this project.

Road closures may be in effect starting Monday, April 14th on BOULEVARD AVENUE from 11th Street West through the intersection of 13th Street West AND 12th Street West from Lincoln Avenue to Boulevard Avenue.

For Highland Park School access, please use Washington Avenue for student drop-off and pick up. For residents in the work zone, please remove vehicles from the street before April 14th and use alley access as much as possible. Thank you for your cooperation.

Remember, your safety as well as the safety of the work crews, is important to all of us. Stay alert when in and around work zones.

The City of Havre intends to apply for the MDT Transportation Alternatives Grant to supplement costs borne by Highland Park property owners for a special improvement district related to streets and sidewalks. This grant funding is highly competitive, community support can make the difference in being awarded. The catch? Support must be given on public record which means you must voice your support in person at the April 7th, City Council Meeting. You can also submit a written statement to your council member or to the Mayor’s office before 5pm on Monday, April 7th.
