The purpose of the Public Works Department, under the direction of Trevor Mork, is to provide the people of Havre a safe and healthy place to live. It is the goal of the Public Works Department to achieve a high quality of life through cost effective planning, operations and maintenance of the City’s infrastructure.

Building, Demolition, Roofing, Sign and Miscellaneous Permits can all be downloaded, filled out and brought into City Hall for approval. All Permits must be signed off by the Public Works Department and paid for at City Hall before being issued. Click the coordinating link below for each Permit Application.

Business Registration

Beginning May 1, 2024 the City of Havre is requesting all new State-filed businesses operating within City Limits to register with the City. For the general well-being and protection of the inhabitants of the City, no person or entity shall engage in state-filed business without first receiving a business registration, and obtaining a certificate of occupancy from the City, as set forth in Title 11, Chapter 1, Section 18 of the Havre City Code.  This registration will allow for the City of Havre to be aware of the types of business located in town to prepare for inspections or in the event of emergency situations.
