Invitation to Bid

Notice is hereby given that the City of Havre is seeking bids for the:

2026 Hay Bid Project CIP-01-26 (Click for printable file)

Bids shall be entitled HAY BID and must be received by 3:00 PM on Friday, 15 May 2026. No bids will be received or considered after this time and date.

Specifications for Hay Bids include the following:

•Completed BID FORM for City of Havre properties available for haying:

(A) Bullhook Diversion [20 acres] dryland grass/alfalfa-mix

(B) Baltrusch Trail area [21 acres] idle-field dryland grass-mix

(D) Eagles Park area [3 acres] idle-field dryland grass-mix

• Bids will be based on a five (5) month period starting June 2026 and ending October 2026

• Bidder will be responsible for cutting and removing grass hay to best reduce fire hazard

• Payment to the City of Havre will be based on the tonnage of hay produced

• The City reserves the right to control the cutting of the month period

• Bidder will be responsible for notifying the City of Havre Public Works Office before each cutting of the grass hay within the 2026 season

If responses are received by all invitees prior to 15 May 2026, the City may consider awarding the bid upon receipt of all bids or notices of refusal to bid. The City of Havre reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Havre.
